As we continue to see the growth and development of artificial intelligence, it's natural to wonder how these technologies may impact the way we work and interact with the world around us. One area that has garnered significant attention is the potential for AI to replace human workers, including in creative fields such as writing.

One example of an AI system that has gained popularity in recent days is ChatGPT, a chatbot that uses natural language processing and machine learning to generate responses to user input. While ChatGPT is certainly a smart and impressive AI system, it is important to recognise that it cannot fully replace humans for writing or other creative endeavours.

There is only so much that an AI tool can do, sure, it can be used as a headstart or to give you a structure to a writing piece, but it wouldn’t provide you with the anecdotes of lived experience, of human errors, or one’s a unique perspective and emotions that would actually strike the right chord with the audience.

As a reader, we connect or relate to a piece of content based on our experiences. Without sounding too cliched, we want to put it out there that we all are unique and one in a million. And this sense of individuality gives us an upper hand over AI. Because what relates to you and us may not relate to a third person and that is okay. For each reader, there is an author/writer out there to help him/her process or understand complex emotions and ideas.

ChatGPT and other AI systems do not have the same level of understanding and comprehension as humans. They do not have the ability to think creatively in the same way that humans do. While ChatGPT can generate responses based on patterns and data it has been trained on, it cannot truly "think" or come up with original ideas in the same way that a human can.

ChatGPT and other AI systems are limited by the data they have been trained on. If the data they are working with is biased or incomplete, the responses they generate may also be biased or flawed. This is a significant concern, as it can lead to incorrect or unfair conclusions being drawn.

While AI can certainly be useful in automating certain tasks and improving efficiency, however, concerning ourselves with AI taking away jobs from humans seems like a dream at the moment which may or may not come true.
